A wildlife worker in Papua New Guinea was mauled by a crocodile while inside its enclosure, an incident captured on video by shocked onlookers. The attack occurred Saturday afternoon at the Adventure Park in Port Moresby.

Footage of the event shows the crocodile biting down on the worker's legs. The worker remained still in the water while a bystander reached a pole through the enclosure fence, which the worker gripped for support. The crowd watching the incident gasped and reacted with panic.

Emergency services were called to the scene, and police shot the crocodile. The worker was freed from the animal's jaws and transported to 3 Mile General Hospital for treatment. The severity of his injuries has not yet been disclosed.

This incident follows social media posts showing park staff handling crocodiles, including one image of a worker sitting on a crocodile's back.
