Alison Moore, 63, was handed an 18-month suspended prison sentence for assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The attack occurred after an argument stemming from a pub visit where staff refused to serve Moore. Her husband, Rob, alleged that she accused him of "not standing up for her" and of "talking s***."
During the incident at their £1 million farmhouse in Damerham, New Forest, Moore pushed her husband onto their bed and stated, "You talk so much s***, I'm going to make you eat it." She then proceeded to smear faeces on his face. Her husband managed to break free, clean himself, and contacted the police. A photograph of the assault was presented in court.
Moore's husband also alleged previous assaults, including being struck with a broom handle and hit in the face with a ring. Photographs presented in court showed injuries he sustained in March 2024 and August 2026.
Moore's defense attorney stated that her actions were a result of "a perception of an imbalance in the relationship" and a "deep depression" brought on by personal loss, including the deaths of her parents, sister, and uncle, as well as her dog. She had sought private mental health care and was being treated for depression and reviewed her relationship with alcohol.
Despite the disturbing nature of the assault, Mr. Moore reportedly did not support a restraining order against his wife. Moore had spent three weeks in remand at HMP Bronzefield and is believed to be living at an Airbnb in Dorset. She and her husband were seen leaving Southampton Crown Court together after the sentencing.
