The world's most luxurious expedition yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, is scheduled to dock in London for the first time this summer, mooring in Greenwich on July 31.

This six-star 'discovery yacht' is designed for polar exploration and combines expedition capabilities with an opulent private yacht experience. The vessel accommodates up to 228 guests, or 200 in polar regions, supported by an almost 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio, with butler service provided for every suite. The yacht will arrive at Tilbury on July 30 before reaching Greenwich the following day.

Scenic Eclipse II is one of only two yachts globally equipped with two helicopters, alongside a custom-built submersible named Scenic Neptune II. This submersible is designed for immersive underwater exploration, offering 360-degree panoramic views. Guests can explore marine environments from beneath the sea.

Onboard, the yacht offers up to 10 culinary experiences, overseen by acclaimed chef Tom Götter and a team of 38 chefs. The 550-square-meter spa and wellness spaces, along with a Sky Bar and Vitality Pool, provide additional amenities. Every suite includes butler service and a private veranda or terrace.

Built to Polar Class 6 specifications, Scenic Eclipse II is capable of navigating extreme environments, including the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as warmer regions like the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia. A specialist Discovery Team, led by former US expedition and wilderness specialist Jason Flesher, organizes activities. This team includes up to 20 experts in fields such as marine biology, geology, and photography.

Scenic Eclipse II, launched in 2023, will depart Greenwich on August 1 for a five-day voyage to Hamburg, sailing down the Thames, through Ostend, Belgium, and cruising the Elbe River. Suites for the London to Hamburg voyage start from £4,495 per person.
