A summer concert series planned for King Charles' Sandringham estate has been canceled, with the organizer citing an “increasingly saturated festival market” and insufficient ticket sales. GCE Live, an independent promoter, announced that three Heritage Live festivals will not proceed despite efforts to secure investment.

The planned festivals were set to take place at Englefield Estate in Berkshire, Audley End House in Essex, and the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. Scheduled performers included Christina Aguilera, Eric Clapton, Lionel Richie, Janet Jackson, and Ricky Martin.

GCE Live stated on its website that it had been working to finalize an investment and equity package to mitigate the challenges of a difficult year, but this plan fell through at the last minute, making the events impossible to stage. The company highlighted soaring artist and staffing costs, alongside lower-than-average ticket sales for several shows, as contributing factors.

Around 30,000 attendees were expected at the Sandringham festival, which was scheduled to run from August 19 to August 23. The lineup included Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie, Christina Aguilera, Craig David, Blue, Ricky Martin, and Eric Clapton, among others.

King Charles began hosting the Heritage Live concerts in 2023. The series had expanded from three days to five days for the current year, with camping and glamping options available. GCE Live has advised ticket holders to expect refunds from their agents within a reasonable period and expressed gratitude to supporters over the past decade.
