The United Kingdom is anticipating another heatwave, with temperatures forecast to exceed 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) across parts of the country. High pressure building from the Azores is expected to cause a gradual rise in temperatures over the weekend, with the warmest conditions anticipated from Monday.

Several regions, particularly in southern and eastern England, could meet official heatwave criteria if these elevated temperatures persist for at least three consecutive days. In these areas, temperatures might widely surpass 30C. Eastern Scotland and the northeast of England are likely to experience milder conditions, reaching the mid to high 20s Celsius.

Areas situated on the western side of the UK, including Lancashire, the Lake District, western Scotland, and Northern Ireland, are expected to be influenced by an Atlantic breeze. This oceanic airflow will act as a natural cooling agent, limiting temperatures in these locales to the low to mid-20s Celsius.

According to current forecasting models, this hot spell has the potential to extend into the middle of July. While significant heat is expected, it is unlikely to reach the record-breaking temperatures recorded in June.
