Two individuals have been rescued after their aircraft ditched into the sea off the coast of west Wales on Friday. The emergency landing occurred approximately 10 miles north-west of Cemaes Head in Pembrokeshire.
The New Quay RNLI lifeboat station received reports from Milford Haven Coastguard at 18:06 BST regarding the incident. In response, the station dispatched its all-weather lifeboat, supported by a coastguard helicopter and lifeboats from the RNLI stations in Fishguard and Cardigan.
Coastguard services spotted the two individuals from the air. They were subsequently recovered by the Cardigan lifeboat. The rescued pair were then transferred to a larger vessel for immediate medical assessment and care before being transported to a local hospital.
Further details regarding the cause of the emergency landing or the condition of the individuals have not yet been released.
