Two firefighters died Tuesday while battling a building fire in Mérignac, a suburb of Bordeaux, France. The deaths were announced by Interior Minister Laurent Nunez.
Nunez stated that he was awaiting further details regarding the incident. The fire also caused delays to some flights at the Bordeaux airport, which is located in Mérignac.
The incident occurred in the southwest of France.
