A total of twelve lion cubs are now thriving together at a German zoo, with their mothers Saba and Zuri sharing the duties of nursing and caring for all the youngsters.
Zuri gave birth to five cubs on July 28, and her sister Saba delivered seven cubs just three days later, on July 31. The cubs have since been exploring their enclosure at the Dortmund zoo under the watchful eyes of both lionesses.
The zoo's lion enclosure has reopened to the public, with visitors reportedly delighted by the sight of the cubs. The unusual family dynamic, where both mothers care for all 12 cubs without distinction, has become a heartwarming display.
