Lumo, a train operator owned by FirstGroup, is currently running services between London Euston and Stirling with inoperable toilet facilities. The issue, described by the company as a "fault" with the toilets, affects services on the West Coast Main Line, covering a 417-mile route.

Some journeys have been extended at stations such as Preston to allow passengers to disembark and use restroom facilities on the platforms. In a statement, a Lumo spokesperson acknowledged "some issues with the reliability of some of our toilet facilities onboard our West Coast services." The company is collaborating with Alstom, the firm that refurbished the train carriages, to resolve the problem.

One affected service, the 06:11 departure from London Euston on Friday, experienced a 58-minute delay and ultimately terminated at Motherwell, North Lanarkshire. Passengers on this service were informed that their tickets would be honored on ScotRail services.
