A Sydney woman has claimed a $1.2 million prize after winning division one in Saturday Lotto draw 4691. The winner, who received a call from lottery officials while at work, expressed her immediate impulse to quit her job.
"That almost makes me want to run out of the office and quit right now," she said upon learning of her winnings.
The woman, who does not always play the lottery but has been buying tickets periodically, stated that her first thought upon realizing her win was related to her employment. She plans to use a portion of her winnings to renovate her home, with the bathroom being a priority.
She was one of five national winners for the draw, which took place on Saturday. After initially missing calls from lottery officials, she eventually answered while at her workplace, confirming her significant win.
