A hair salon owner in Sydney, Australia, has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two men, according to reports. Detectives initiated an investigation in June after two men, aged 34 and 37, reported incidents that allegedly occurred at a salon located on Gardeners Road in Rosebery.
Police allege that the business owner met each of the complainants through an online dating platform and subsequently invited them to his salon on separate occasions. The two alleged victims, who did not know each other, reportedly ingested a substance unknowingly before the assaults took place. The incidents are believed to have occurred on March 8 and May 25 of this year.
Following extensive inquiries, a 39-year-old man was apprehended at the business on Friday. He was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with two counts of using an intoxicating substance to commit an indictable offense and two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.
The man was refused bail and was scheduled to appear at Bail Division Court 7 on Saturday. The investigation is ongoing.
