The Ukrainian woman suspected of orchestrating a bomb attack on a Ukrainian oligarch in Monaco has been found dead near Kyiv, reportedly after being shot. Local media reported the discovery of Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, around 11:00 p.m. on July 6.
Berezovska was accused of leaving an explosive device in the entrance hall of an apartment building in Monaco on June 29. She is believed to have fled the scene on foot before driving to Germany. The blast seriously injured sanctioned Ukrainian millionaire Vadym Yermolaiev, his partner, and his son.
An Interpol Red Notice had been issued for Berezovska, who speaks German. She was wanted for attempted murder, placing an explosive device on a public road with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy. Monaco's deputy prosecutor, Morgan Raymond, stated that she was disguised as a man during the alleged attack.
Interpol had previously named and pictured the suspect, who was seen wearing a bucket hat, in connection with the Monaco bombing. The circumstances surrounding Berezovska's death are under investigation.
