Sharon Osbourne has initiated legal proceedings to remove Colin Newman, the longtime accountant for her late husband Ozzy Osbourne, as an executor of the rocker's will. The filing was made Tuesday at the High Court of Justice in England.

Osbourne's niece, Georgina Maszlin, and her assistant, Melinda Varga, are also parties to the request for Newman's removal. The specific reasons for seeking his dismissal are not yet public, and it remains unclear if Newman plans to contest the application. Representatives for Osbourne have been contacted for comment.

Newman has served as the couple's accountant since prior to their 1982 marriage, having initially met Sharon while working for her father, music manager Don Arden. He was also a director of Ozzy Osbourne's primary UK company, Monowise Ltd, for many years before resigning in April. Following Newman's departure, Sharon Osbourne was appointed as a director. The 79-year-old Newman also previously worked as Sharon Osbourne's literary agent.

He has production credits on several of Ozzy Osbourne's albums, and the two shared a long-standing personal friendship. The legal action comes several months after the first anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne's death on July 22, 2025. The Black Sabbath frontman passed away at the age of 76 following a heart attack. He and Sharon Osbourne were married for 43 years and had three children together: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
