A rock climber is fighting for her life after a significant fall on Mount French in Queensland's Scenic Rim on Saturday. Emergency services were alerted to the incident shortly before 11 a.m. near Mount French Road, approximately 100 kilometers west of Brisbane.

Crews arriving at the scene found the woman, who is in her 20s, with substantial head injuries. Rescue efforts were complicated by dense bushland, which initially prevented a direct evacuation from the fall site.

A rescue helicopter was eventually utilized to transport the woman to Princess Alexandra Hospital. She arrived at the hospital just before 1 p.m. Footage from the scene showed emergency personnel gathered at the base of the mountain. The woman had been climbing with a group when the fall occurred.
