A rideshare driver has been charged with multiple offenses after allegedly performing a sexual act on himself while driving a female passenger through Sydney's Central Business District.
The 28-year-old man is accused of committing the act around 12:30 p.m. on a Saturday with a 23-year-old passenger in the car. Police arrested the man Tuesday afternoon in Millers Point, followed by a raid on a home in Paramatta.
He has been charged with three counts of carrying out a sexual act with another without consent and two counts of sexually touching another person without consent. Authorities allege these incidents are unrelated to his work as a rideshare driver and that three similar incidents occurred between January and April in Sydney's CBD, Earlwood, and Otford.
The man was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before the Bail Division Court on Wednesday.
