A large group of protesters, many wearing balaclavas, blocked roads leading to the Port of Dover on Saturday morning, causing significant delays for ferry services and holidaymakers. The demonstration began around 6:45 a.m., with an estimated 300 people, according to one commuter, obstructing all entrances and exits to the port area, as well as Jubilee Way.

Kent Police confirmed they were aware of the protest and were engaging with the demonstrators. The "public order incident" halted traffic entering and leaving the port. P&O Ferries advised passengers that they would be accommodated on the next available sailing if they missed their scheduled departure.

Videos circulating online depicted individuals dressed in black clothing with their faces obscured, standing in the middle of the roads. The exact number of protesters has not been officially confirmed. The disruption is expected to cause substantial delays for ferry crossings throughout the day.
