Masked protesters disrupted traffic at the Port of Dover on Friday, preventing vehicles from entering and exiting the busy ferry terminal. Kent Police stated they were aware of the demonstration and were engaging with those involved.
The protest led to the cessation of all traffic in both directions on the A20, a major route to the port. National Highways reported approximately four miles of congestion and delays of up to 30 minutes as a result of the incident.
P&O Ferries advised passengers who might miss their scheduled crossings to seek the next available service. The situation caused significant disruption to services at one of the UK's busiest ports.
