Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have announced the birth of their baby daughter, born in Portugal. The announcement was made via Instagram, where the royal shared a photo of the newborn and expressed her joy: "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."

The baby, who will not hold the HRH title, is 15th in line to the British throne, shifting her great-uncle, the Duke of Edinburgh, to 16th place. The Royal Family's official Instagram account acknowledged the news with a heartfelt message.

According to a statement released by Buckingham Palace officials, the daughter was born on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 6:20 p.m. in a Lisbon hospital, weighing 6 pounds and 9 ounces. The King and Queen and other members of the Royal Family were informed and expressed their delight.

The couple's sons, August, aged five, and Ernest, aged two, were reportedly very excited about welcoming a new sibling. Photos shared previously by Princess Eugenie showed the boys holding a picture of a baby scan.

She is also the fifth grandchild of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, following the birth of Princess Beatrice's daughter, Athena Mapelli Mozzi, in January of the previous year.

Princess Eugenie and Mr. Brooksbank married in October 2018 at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. Their first child, August, was born on February 9, 2021, followed by Ernest on May 30, 2023.
