Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are reported to have visited the remote Scottish island of Tanera Mor earlier this month. The island, owned by hedge fund tycoon Ian Wace, is located in the Summer Isles.

Tanera Mor, the largest of the Summer Isles, was purchased by Wace in 2017 for £1.7 million. He has since invested approximately £100 million into its development, which includes planting 100,000 trees, restoring numerous properties, and constructing three miles of roads. The island has also seen the revival of skills such as beekeeping.

The Taigh Mor Foundation, which focuses on the wellbeing of individuals serving in the armed forces and emergency services, has hosted over half of the island's 1,000 guests as of last year. Visitors associated with the foundation participate in activities such as restoring buildings, harvesting seaweed, fishing, and working in the kitchens or gardens.

Prince Harry is understood to have visited the island previously. Wace, a philanthropist, has known Prince Harry and his brother Prince William for years. Wace's ex-wife, former model Saffron Aldridge, reportedly developed a friendship with Meghan Markle after she moved to the UK.

The Sussexes' visit to Scotland is believed to have followed a stay in Northamptonshire, where they visited Althorp, the ancestral home of Earl and Countess Spencer, and laid flowers at the grave of Prince Harry's mother, Diana. They also reportedly had tea with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove in Gloucestershire during their trip to Britain.

Representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and for Ian Wace declined to comment on the reported visit.
