Security camera footage appears to show police vehicles pursuing a car approximately three minutes before a fatal crash that killed seven individuals, including two officers, near Middlesbrough, England.
The video clip, reportedly filmed on Lime Road at 3:36 a.m. local time on Saturday, is thought to have captured the moments leading up to the collision. A Volkswagen Passat, traveling the wrong way on the A66, collided with a marked police vehicle.
According to the BBC, the police car involved in the crash was not part of the pursuit. A police source indicated that the chase had been called off before the collision occurred.
