Philippines High School Shooting Leaves 3 Dead, 6 Injured

A shooting at Banga National High School in the southern Philippines on Friday resulted in the deaths of at least three young people and injured six others, including the gunman, according to local officials.

Rolly Doane Aquino, a provincial disaster response official in South Cotabato province, confirmed that three individuals died and six were hospitalized following the incident. The Philippine National Police have verified the fatalities and injuries, stating that the circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under investigation.

Governor Reynaldo Tamayo of South Cotabato said that the gunman's best friend informed officials that the shooter was a member of a "true crime community." Tamayo indicated that authorities would be looking into this claim as part of their ongoing investigation.
