Australian police have released bodycam footage showing one of the last attempts to obtain information from Bradley Murdoch regarding the whereabouts of Peter Falconio's body, approximately 25 years after the murder.
The footage, filmed in June 2025, captures a police officer appealing to Murdoch, who was serving a life sentence for the 2001 killing. "I need you to have a think about if Peter Falconio was your son Quinton, and somebody knew something about where his body was", the officer is heard saying in the video.
Murdoch died the following month, in July 2025, having been convicted of the murder of the 28-year-old Falconio. Falconio, who was originally from Huddersfield, England, was shot dead on a remote highway near Barrow Creek in the Northern Territory in July 2001. He was traveling with his girlfriend, Joanne Lees, who was subsequently kidnapped by Murdoch. Lees managed to escape and hide in the Australian outback for several hours before flagging down passing motorists.
