Ynav Sharir, a passenger on a flydubai flight that made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia following an alleged hijacking attempt, met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Sharir was reportedly still covered in blood when he met with the Prime Minister.

Sharir was among the passengers who intervened when the co-pilot allegedly entered the cockpit and attacked the pilot. Yaniv Hayoun, another passenger, described how he and others subdued the suspect, restraining him in a headlock and removing him from the cockpit. Hayoun stated that the aircraft was still tilting as they managed to gain control.

Reports indicate that the incident prompted fears of a 9/11-style attack. The plane, which was en route to Israel, was diverted to Saudi Arabia where authorities took control of the situation. Details suggest the co-pilot stabbed the pilot, causing the aircraft to descend approximately 18,000 feet before passengers intervened.

The passengers and crew were subsequently transported to Israel.
