Passenger Describes Terrifying 17,000ft Plunge on Israel-Bound Flight

A passenger aboard a flight heading to Israel described the terrifying experience as a "rollercoaster" after the plane plummeted 17,000 feet in under two minutes. The incident occurred on Flight FZ1073, which was diverted to Saudi Arabia following the alarming drop in altitude.

Almog Itali, a passenger on the flight, recounted the event to the BBC, emphasizing the jarring descent. The exact cause of the sudden fall is under investigation, but initial reports suggest a pilot may have attacked his co-pilot. In the midst of the crisis, several passengers reportedly took control of the aircraft.

Reports indicate that two additional pilots, situated in the rear of the plane, came forward and successfully landed the aircraft in Saudi Arabia after the diversion.

The flight was en route to Israel when the emergency unfolded, leading to the unscheduled landing in a third country.
