Pakistani Army Training Aircraft Crashes, Killing Both Pilots

A Pakistani army training aircraft crashed in southwestern Pakistan on Monday, killing both pilots, the military reported. The aircraft, identified as a PAC MFI-17 Mushshak, went down near the town of Nawan Killi in Balochistan province.

The military attributed the crash to a technical fault, though further details were not immediately provided. The Pakistan army's public relations wing did not release specific information regarding the incident.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered their condolences to the families of the pilots.

Crashes involving training missions are not uncommon in Pakistan. In June, another air force plane crashed during routine training in northwestern Pakistan, resulting in the deaths of both pilots. Details of accident causes and investigation reports are typically not made public by authorities.
