Two police officers in the UK have been reunited with a baby girl they helped deliver in the back of a patrol car. Officers Emily Welch and Michael Coles were on duty when they responded to a call about a woman in labor.
Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found the woman experiencing a rapid birth. They successfully assisted in the delivery of the baby girl inside the police vehicle. Following the birth, the officers provided initial care for the newborn and her mother until paramedics arrived.
Months later, the officers were able to meet the baby girl, named Elara, and her family. The BBC reported that the reunion was an emotional moment for everyone involved. Officer Welch told the BBC that it was "lovely" to see Elara thriving and to know they had played a part in her arrival.
