Rescuers in Venezuela have pulled a newborn baby from beneath the rubble of a collapsed building following two powerful earthquakes that struck the country. Videos circulating on social media show the baby being moved away from the debris and handed to a man believed to be the father.
The baby's mother was also reportedly rescued alive from the rubble. The earthquakes, which occurred within seconds of each other, have resulted in at least 920 deaths and more than 3,360 injuries, according to AFP.
Rescue operations are ongoing in Venezuela as authorities assess the full extent of the damage and continue search efforts for survivors.
