An urgent search is underway for a Melbourne resident who is $4 million richer after purchasing the only division one winning ticket in Tuesday night's Oz Lotto draw, according to The Lott.
The winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1696 on August 18, 2026, was the sole ticket nationwide to secure the jackpot. The winning numbers were 9, 38, 39, 40, 13, 21, with supplementary numbers 44, 46, and 6.
Officials from The Lott are unable to contact the winner because the ticket is unregistered. The winner must check their ticket to discover they have claimed the $4 million prize. The winning ticket was purchased at Laverton Authorised Newsagency.
"While we’ve been unable to confirm the division one win with the winner, we’re sure that when they check their ticket and discover their news, they’ll be jumping for joy," said The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell. "We’re encouraging everyone to check their entries because they might be the newly-minted multi-millionaire we’re searching for."
