Mid-Air Brawl Erupts on Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight

A physical altercation broke out between two passengers on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight en route to London, with video footage capturing the violent exchange.

The incident occurred on Wednesday aboard a flight departing from Sylhet. The video, shared online, shows one man in a black shirt striking another passenger seated in the row behind him before a flurry of punches was exchanged. The scuffle continued until flight crew intervened.

Witnesses described the situation as frightening, particularly noting the presence of children and elderly passengers. "What made it even more upsetting was that there were children and elderly people on the flight," said passenger Uddin Alim. "They had nothing to do with the situation, yet they had to witness this behaviour and deal with the fear and stress it caused."

Alim added, "Imagine being thousands of feet in the air, unable to simply walk away from a dangerous situation. Everyone expects to feel safe when they board an aircraft, but suddenly seeing passengers fighting is extremely frightening. This kind of behaviour should not happen on an aircraft, especially when there are innocent children, elderly passengers and families travelling together."

An airline spokesperson confirmed that the cabin crew "resolved the situation." The exact cause of the argument that led to the fight remains unclear, and it is unknown whether the passengers involved faced any repercussions upon landing in London.
