Police have launched a search for Cliff Lyons Dobbie, a restricted patient convicted of child rape, who escaped while on escorted community leave in Perth. Dobbie was detained in secure units in 1990 after raping a 10-year-old girl in Glasgow.
NHS Tayside is collaborating with Police Scotland to locate the missing patient. Authorities are warning the public not to approach Dobbie if they see him.
Dobbie is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall with a stocky, muscular build. He is bald, has light blue eyes, and a noticeable squint. He was last seen wearing white trainers, light blue ripped jeans, a salmon-colored golf shirt, and a light blue jumper. He also wore a black cap and thick black-rimmed glasses, and was carrying a black backpack and a black puffer jacket.
Dobbie has distinctive tattoos on both arms: an image of two blue tiger-like eyes on his right arm and a blue and red Rangers tattoo on his left. He speaks with a strong Glaswegian accent and has known links to Glasgow and the surrounding area.
