Allen Keys, 68, has pleaded guilty to the murder of Melbourne woman Eva Lasrini, 53. Keys appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court via video link on Monday and admitted to killing Lasrini in Little River on April 1.
Lasrini was reported missing by her family on April 2 after she failed to make contact. Her body was discovered on April 4 near Little River Road and the Princes Freeway.
Keys, a resident of Patterson Lakes, was arrested on April 3 at Melbourne International Airport as he attempted to board an overseas flight. He was taken into custody on a murder charge.
During his court appearance, Keys only confirmed his guilty plea. A directions hearing is scheduled for the Victorian Supreme Court on September 28.
Lasrini, who was studying English, is remembered by her family as a devoted mother to her two daughters. She had recently shared on social media about an opportunity she had to learn.
