A man was fatally shot outside the Landor Pub in London's Clapham North area on Monday night in what is being treated as a suspected gang attack. The victim is believed to be a 25-year-old man.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene following reports of a shooting. The area has been cordoned off, and forensics teams were present as investigations commenced the following morning. Residents reported hearing what sounded like gunshots around 10 p.m. Monday.

"It was shortly after 10pm and I heard lots of sirens, and I heard bangs - I think it was five or something," one resident told London Now. "And then I said 'do you think they were gunshots?'" The resident described hearing the sirens eventually quieten down and expressed being "horrified" by the sounds.

The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment. Clapham is known as an area with many wealthy residents and young professionals.
