A man has died after a train collided with a van on a railway level crossing in Burscough, West Lancashire. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, shortly after 3:00 PM British Summer Time.
British Transport Police confirmed that the man, who was inside the van, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers on board the train, which was traveling from Wigan Wallgate to Southport, sustained minor injuries.
