Hekmat Omar Ali Hakim, 49, has denied a charge of failing to disclose information related to a terrorist incident in Manchester. Hakim appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court and entered a plea of not guilty.

The defendant, who resides at St James Road in Higher Broughton, Salford, spoke only to confirm his name and enter his plea. He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on September 25.

The case stems from an attack on October 2, when Jihad Al-Shamie, a 35-year-old Syrian-born British citizen, drove a vehicle into the gates of the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue. Al-Shamie then proceeded to attack worshippers with a knife while wearing a fake suicide belt. He was ultimately shot and killed by police outside the synagogue.

Worshippers Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby were killed in the incident.
