A man and a woman have been charged with murder after the discovery of human remains believed to belong to a man who disappeared four years ago.
Chad Bishop, 46, was last seen at a property in Beenleigh, south of Brisbane, on March 3, 2022. On Monday, Queensland Police executed a search warrant at a property on Old Trafford Road in Bethania, where they found human remains.
A 52-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were subsequently charged with one count each of murder and interfering with a corpse. The pair are expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
In April 2022, Mr. Bishop's mother, Karen Wood, described her son as a good man with a "beautiful nature." She stated they were very close and that his disappearance was out of character, as he would not leave without saying goodbye. Ms. Wood urged anyone with information to come forward to help her family find peace of mind.
