A 49-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital after suffering fractures to both legs during an incident on the Batman Gotham City Escape roller coaster at Parque Warner Madrid on Saturday. The ride, which opened in 2023, features multiple launches and inversions.

Emergency services attended to the injured rider immediately after the incident, according to the park. First responders then airlifted him to a nearby medical facility. The man sustained an open fracture in his left leg and a closed fracture in his right leg, Europa Press reported, citing emergency officials.

Witnesses described scenes of panic among parkgoers following the incident. "There were people crying and having anxiety attacks," said Juan José Molina, another visitor.

Parque Warner stated that the roller coaster was stopped immediately and emergency procedures were activated. The attraction will remain closed while park management investigates the incident in coordination with authorities. The Batman Gotham City Escape is noted as Spain’s first multi-launch roller coaster.
