A significant fire at a waste facility in Neasden, northwest London, has led to the closure of multiple Tube and train lines and prompted a large-scale response from the London Fire Brigade (LFB). The blaze, which broke out at an industrial estate on Hannah Close, sent smoke plumes visible for miles across the city.

The LFB received the alert shortly after 11:30 BST and dispatched 20 fire engines, with a total of 125 firefighters working to control the fire. Residents in the vicinity were advised to keep windows and doors shut due to the heavy smoke.

Transport for London (TfL) reported that the Metropolitan line was suspended entirely, and the Jubilee line experienced partial closure between Willesden Green and Wembley Park. National Rail indicated that train services to and from London Marylebone were subject to delays and cancellations as a direct consequence of the blocked lines.

A thick plume of dark grey smoke rises into the sky behind a modern multi-storey building, overhead line gantries, and a arched railway bridge.
