Kickboxer Charged with Murder in Fatal Crash
A teenage kickboxing champion and three others face charges in connection with a July collision that resulted in a death.
A world champion kickboxer, Tyler Ford, 18, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a crash between an off-road bike and a car in Gorseinon, Swansea. The collision on Pen Cae Crwn Road on July 9 resulted in the death of Ceiran Evans, also 18.
Ford denies all charges against him. Appearing before Swansea Crown Court, Ford was among four individuals facing serious accusations related to the incident. Elliot Truelove, 33, and Liam Thomas, 18, both from Swansea, have also pleaded not guilty to the same three charges of murder, attempted murder, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Trisha Thomas, 36, faces a charge of assisting an offender and has entered a not guilty plea.
Family members of Ceiran Evans released a statement describing him as deeply loved and remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and loving nature. "He will forever be our precious baby boy; always loved, always remembered, and never forgotten," the statement read.
A trial date has been set for January 11 of the following year, with proceedings expected to last up to six weeks. All defendants remain in custody.
