Kickboxer Charged With Murder After Fatal Crash
A nine-time world champion kickboxer, Tyler Ford, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a collision that resulted in the death of 18-year-old Ceiran Evans.
World champion kickboxer Tyler Ford, 18, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a crash involving a car and an off-road bike. The incident, which occurred on Pen Cae Crwn Road in Gorseinon, Swansea, on July 9, led to the death of Ceiran Evans, also 18.
Ford appeared before Swansea Crown Court and denied all charges. Also appearing in court were Elliot Truelove, 33, and Liam Thomas, 18, both from Swansea. They also pleaded not guilty to the same three charges. Trisha Thomas, 36, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assisting an offender.
In a statement, the family of Ceiran Evans described him as "loved more than any words can say" and said he would be "missed every single day." They remembered his "kind heart, wicked sense of humour, loving nature, and handsome smile" that brought joy to those who knew him.
Judge Paul Thomas has set a trial date for January 11 of the following year, with the proceedings expected to last up to six weeks. The defendants remain in custody.
