Court documents have revealed that a judge expressed concerns about "The Bachelor" star Sam Wood potentially interfering with his stepdaughter, Eve Wood, if granted bail. Eve is the sole adult witness to an alleged domestic violence incident involving her mother, Snezana Markoski, and Wood.
Details emerging from the case indicate that Eve was present during the alleged incident and called emergency services, known as Triple-Zero in Australia, when her mother believed she was in mortal danger. A Supreme Court judge noted that Eve, described as the primary witness, "shut the door and locked it, heard her mother gasping, and her voice becoming muffled."
Eve Markoski-Wood, a fashion student based in New York, was reportedly on holiday with her mother, stepfather, and younger sisters in Queensland when the alleged event occurred. She is now faced with the difficult task of testifying against her stepfather, who faces charges including choking, suffocation, and strangulation in a domestic setting, as well as assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Sam Wood, who rose to fame on the 2015 season of "The Bachelor" and married Snezana Markoski in 2018, is the father of their three young daughters. Their marriage is reportedly expected to end as a result of the allegations.
Wood's father, Andrew "Woody" Wood, was seen leaving court after his son's second unsuccessful attempt to secure bail. The case continues to unfold, with Eve's testimony expected to be crucial.
