Jockey Giovanni Atzeni was injured when his horse fell during a victory lap at Italy's Palio di Siena horse show on Tuesday. A group of spectators ran onto the track to celebrate the win, causing the horse to trip and fall. The horse was reportedly unharmed, but Atzeni sustained a head injury and was taken to the hospital for observation.

Footage of the incident shows a spectator colliding with the horse, leading to the fall and Atzeni being thrown from its back. Atzeni's injuries are not considered serious, but he is expected to remain under medical observation for several days.

This event occurred shortly after a separate horse-related incident in the Swiss Alps. On Saturday, a horse-drawn carriage carrying approximately 40 people crashed into a tree in Val Roseg. Police stated the driver lost control of the carriage while descending a slope, as the brakes proved insufficient. One of the horses fell, and the driver was unable to regain control. Passengers were ejected from the carriage upon impact.

A 73-year-old woman died in the Swiss Alps incident, and two other individuals sustained serious injuries. Emergency services, including helicopters and ambulances, were dispatched to the scene. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the carriage accident.
