Connor Michael Murphy, a YouTube influencer with 2.36 million subscribers, drowned in a lake near his rental home in Samut Prakan, Thailand, on Tuesday. Murphy, 32, was pulled from a lake approximately 16 miles south of Bangkok, according to the Bangkok Post.
Reports indicate that Murphy had an altercation with a security guard after returning to his estate. The content creator attempted to flag down a car for a ride, but the guard instructed the driver not to allow him into the vehicle. Following this, Murphy entered the 32-foot-deep lake and disappeared. Divers searched for about 30 minutes before locating his body roughly 66 feet from the bank.
Investigators suspect drowning as the cause of death, as Murphy's body showed no signs of assault, according to local media. Murphy, who described himself as a "giga chad," was a proponent of the "looksmaxxing" trend, which focuses on optimizing physical appearance.
