Mark Cain, 45, has been charged with the murder of his wife, Dr. Hannah Terry, a 45-year-old general practitioner. Dr. Terry's body was found at a property on Fern Hill in Dersingham, Norfolk, on Sunday.
Cain appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Tuesday. He confirmed his age, name, and address, but did not enter a plea. The prosecution stated that the ambulance service alerted the police at approximately 02:25 BST on Sunday.
A post-mortem examination indicated that Dr. Terry sustained blunt force trauma to the right side of her head and an injury consistent with compression of the neck. District Judge Matthew Bone ordered Cain to be remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear next at King's Lynn Crown Court on Thursday.
