Hundreds of students, primarily minors, have been arrested and dozens injured as a wave of school protests sweeps across France. The demonstrations, sparked by concerns over overcrowded classrooms and a shortage of teachers, began in Paris last week and have since spread to other major cities including Dijon, Lyon, Strasbourg, Lille, and Marseille.
Teenagers have been blockading their schools for several days as part of the escalating protests. The BBC's Paris correspondent Hugh Schofield is reporting from the capital as the demonstrations continue into their second week.
