Helicopter Crashes Southeast of Montreal, Killing Four

A helicopter crashed southeast of Montreal on Saturday, killing all four people on board, provincial police said.
Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, a spokesperson for Sûreté du Québec, stated the helicopter reportedly experienced difficulties before crashing around 2:30 p.m. in the municipality of Sainte-Brigide-d’Iberville, approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles) southeast of the city.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze within an hour of the crash, but the four occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, Bilodeau confirmed. Police have not yet identified the victims or determined the cause of the crash. The aircraft appeared to be privately owned.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has dispatched investigators to the crash site.
