A Guyanese social media influencer was left in critical condition after being shot multiple times in a drive-by attack outside her home late Saturday, authorities said.

Lolita Callender, 33, known professionally as Lola Doll, was seated in her car in front of her East Ruimveldt residence just before midnight when a gunman on a motorcycle opened fire, the Guyana Police Force said. Callender was struck several times, including in the neck, face, hands and right leg, and was rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital in critical condition.

"Preliminary information indicates that the victim was seated in her motor car when she was shot by a male on a motorcycle," the police said in a statement. In an update on Sunday afternoon, investigators named a suspect, Paul Daby Jr., who is wanted in connection with an attempted murder investigation. Police said they were reviewing closed-circuit television footage from the area and continuing the search for the gunman who fled the scene.

Callender rose to prominence on social media by promoting her music and appearing at parties in revealing attire. She has more than 52,000 followers on Instagram and has featured in several music videos for songs she released, including "Snatched" and "Cement Body," which have accumulated hundreds of thousands of views online.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shooting. The investigation remains active, and police have urged anyone with information to come forward as they pursue leads and review available video footage.

The shooting adds to concerns about violence affecting public figures and content creators in the region, but officials cautioned that no links to her public profile have been established publicly. Guyana's law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and the identity and whereabouts of the person named in the police update.
