Gunmen attacked a community in northwestern Nigeria late Sunday, killing at least 30 people and injuring several others, according to residents. The assault occurred in Naridon village, located in the Kaura council area of Kaduna state.
Derek Christopher, chairman of the Southern Kaduna Peace and Security Network, a civil society group, stated that the same community was targeted by an attack approximately one year ago. Residents are making arrangements for the burials of the victims, whose bodies were taken to a nearby hospital, said Raphael Joshua, a local resident assisting the injured.
