German influencer Laura Viktoria Härtig died on Sunday at the age of 30, nearly three weeks after a bicycle crash that occurred while she was on her honeymoon in Italy. Härtig passed away following a June 23 collision in the Dolomite mountain range with Peter Runggaldier, 57, a former Olympian who was riding a motorcycle.
The incident took place on a road near the Sella Pass. According to Italian outlets il Dolomiti and Trentino, Härtig's bicycle broke apart upon impact, and she sustained injuries after falling to the ground.
Emergency responders were able to resuscitate Härtig at the scene before she was airlifted to San Maurizio Hospital in Bolzano, Italy. Härtig, known on Instagram as @alltimelaura, shared her passion for outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, cycling, and travel with over 55,000 followers. Shortly before the crash, she had posted wedding photos on Instagram, calling her partner her "soulmate for life."
The Trento Prosecutor's Office is reportedly investigating the circumstances of the collision. Runggaldier, who represented Italy in skiing at the 1994 and 1998 Winter Olympics, posted a message on Instagram on Tuesday requesting privacy and expressing his thoughts for those involved.
A memorial message posted on Härtig's Instagram page on Thursday announced her passing, noting her birth date as January 25, 1996, and her date of death as July 12, 2026. The message, translated from German, stated that she had gone to her "beloved mountains" and thanked followers for their support.
Italian outlets reported that Runggaldier also suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Santa Chiara hospital in Trento. His professional website indicates he remains active in skiing and other pursuits, including motorcycling, cycling, and golf during the summer months.
