Beau Lamarre-Condon returned to the witness box for the second day of his murder trial, where he is accused of killing Jesse Baird and his boyfriend Luke Davies. Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and one count of break and enter.

On Thursday, Lamarre-Condon cried approximately five times during his four hours of testimony. He appeared pale and thin, often slouching and fidgeting with his chair. His uneven haircut was noted, and he was repeatedly asked to speak more slowly for the court transcribers.

During his testimony, Lamarre-Condon referred to his own "fragrance" and focused on allegedly homophobic remarks made by police colleagues. He reportedly became emotional when discussing suicidal thoughts and the trust placed in him by teenagers he worked with at Youth Command. Notably, he did not cry when speaking about Jesse Baird, his former lover whom he is accused of murdering.

The defense is expected to guide Lamarre-Condon through his account of events before the prosecution begins its cross-examination. The trial is ongoing.
