A dog named Buddy has been rescued after surviving for eight days trapped under the rubble of his collapsed home following earthquakes in Venezuela on June 24. His owner had nearly lost hope of finding him until a faint bark led rescuers to the dust-covered pup.
Rescuers were able to pull Buddy to safety through a hole made in the concrete. The dog was weak and severely dehydrated but otherwise unharmed, marking a rare moment of relief amid the destruction caused by the earthquakes.
